Birds of Prey, 1970,  Series 536.

This is the penultimate book in the Nature series, 536, and the last one in the traditional format.  (There was one more book issued after this ‘Birds of Northern Britain and Northern Europe’ – but the format and layout is rather different and some of the charm of the old books is lost).  Birds of Prey was both written and illustrated by John Leigh-Pemberton.

This matt copy is in Good/VG condition.  The spine is rubbed and has some flecks of colour missing and there’s a light mark on the front cover too (see photos).  Inside, however, this is a nice, clean copy with very good pages – a bit better than it looks in the photos.  This copy dates to the early 1970s and has the original price of 18p on the back.
