Jack and the Beanstalk, 1970, 606d

Jack and the Beanstalk, first published 1965.  illustrated by Eric Winter and written by Vera Southgate.  This was the 4th title in the popular original Well-Loved Tales series, 606d.

Winter works his usual magic to create a wonderous beanstalk and a scary ogre – although I can’t say I ever warmed to Jack in this tale.  He seemed a bit of a brat.

Matt boards.  In Very Good condition inside and out.  Not much wear (just to one edge of the spine) and very nice, clean pages.   It dates from the 1970s and has the original price of 15p on the back.
