Puss in Boots, 1969, 606d

£6.00

Puss in Boots, 1967.  This book, illustrated by Eric Winter, was the 10th book in the original series of 27 Well-Loved Tales books – but it stayed in print for the longest.   The text, as always in the books of this series, was written by Vera Southgate.

Usually the tales with lots of magical animals in them were given to Robert Lumley to illustrate but in this book, Eric Winter demonstrates just how well he can bring the charismatic ‘Puss’ to life with energy and humour.

This copy:

Puss in Boots, matt boards, illustrated by Eric Winter.  In very good condition with only light wear and nice, clean pages.  There’s a small brown spot on the preliminaries which can faintly be seen on the first page text – but this barely significant.
