The Builder 1965 was the 6th book to be issued in series 606b and was the last one originally to have been issued with a dustwrapper. It was written by I & J Havenhand and, like all the books in this series, was beautifully, lovingly illustrated by John Berry. This book traces the process of building domestic and commercial premises from the concept stage to completion. It was written at a time when we thought every building would very shortly be prefabricated.
This matt copy is in very good condition condition inside and out – not much wear and nice clean, tight pages – though there’s a small address label on the front endpapers. It dates to the late-1960s and has the original price of 2/6 printed inside.
