The Farmer 1963 was the 5th book to be issued in series 606b and was originally issued with a dustwrapper. It was written by I & J Havenhand and, like all the books in this series, was beautifully, lovingly illustrated by John Berry. This is a beautiful book with lots of lovely illustrations that show Britain at the early stages of the mechanisation of the farming industry.
This copy still has its original dustwrapper (now protected in a clear, removable dustwrapper sleeve – which accounts for the shine in the picture). It is an ex-library edition so it has the expected labels, scars, stamps and numbers on the preliminary pages but otherwise is in good condition. I believe it to be a first edition.
