The Ladybird Book of Motor Cars, 1963, Series 584. This book was originally issued with a dustwrapper. There were several different editions of this book published as technology changed and Ladybird tried to keep pace. Motor Cars is a ‘spotting’ book – filled with pictures of different cars of the period and the information to identify them. It is illustrated with adapted beautiful painted illustrations rather than photographs, which definitely adds to its charm.
This copy is in only fair condition inside and out – but better than it looks in the photos. It is the revised edition of 1964. The main faults aren’t so apparent when the DJ is in place because it hides the inscription and residue marks on the book and endpapers. A clean copy inside with good, well-turned pages.
