Toys and Games to Make, 1966, Series 633.
This is the 2nd book in the Hobbies series, 633 and the first one in the series never to have originally been published with a dustwrapper. It was written by James Webster and was beautifully illustrated by Robert Ayton.
This is a book that many people seem to remember from childhood. I think a lot of us used its pages to make its projects – which required an abundant supply of syrup tins, wooden cotton reels, corks and wax candles.
This copy:
Matt boards. It’s in fair to good condition externally. There’s wear and rubs to the spine and back boards and a number of small pen marks – as though someone has used the back cover to test out pens!
Inside it’s a nice clean copy. It dates to the late-1960s and has the original price of 2/6 printed inside.
