Birds of Prey, 1970 (1st ed)

Birds of Prey, 1970,  Series 536.

This is the penultimate book in the Nature series, 536, and the last one in the traditional format.  (There was one more book issued after this ‘Birds of Northern Britain and Northern Europe’ – but the format and layout is rather different and some of the charm of the old books is lost).  Birds of Prey was both written and illustrated by John Leigh-Pemberton.

This matt copy is in excellent condition inside and out.  Only light edge wear and minor soiling to back cover. Very clean, tight pages.   This copy dates to around 1970 and, with the tally number of 260, I believe it to be a first edition.
