British Birds and their Nests (DJ)

The first of the original ‘British Birds and their Nests’ books of series 536.  It is written by Brian Vesey-Fitzgerald and illustrated by Allen Seaby.  Seaby only illustrated one more book for Ladybird – the sequel to this.  He died before either was published.

Both book and DJ are in good condition.  The DJ has been price-clipped, there is the usual wear to the edges and corners but there’s also a 1-inch closed tear near title (see photos).  This is an early edition, with a catalogue list in the back, white titles to the front and no other titles listed on the DJ flap.
