A below is a gallery of books believed to be signed by the artist, writer or someone else closely involved with the book in question. The aim of this gallery is to help you verify if your book is signed.
Please also note that, in the early years, many Ladybird books were published with a printed signature (usually of the writer). This was not intended to deceive – but it has often confused booksellers over the years who have sold books as ‘signed’ when this is simply printed as part of the book. If in doubt, consult the gallery at the bottom of this page.
If you have a book signed by someone not here represented, do please let us know. (I suspect this will ed up being a team effort – but big thanks to Michael Hargreave Mawson for the initial idea and numerous contributions).
