Time, Calendars and Clocks, 1972, Series 601

Time, Calendars and Clocks was first published in 1973 and was the 22nd title in the long-running Achievements series, 601.  As the blurb in the front says, it is a book which “tells the fascinating story of man’s attempts to measure time – from the early shadow clocks to the modern atomic clock …. It also tells how our modern calendar evolved and how we deal with the problems of time around the world”
