The Magic Porridge Pot, 1971.  One of the most popular of the Well-Loved Tales.  The illustrations, by Robert Lumley, fascinate the young reader and linger in the memory for years afterwards  – as does the idea of a world drowning in porridge! Cleverly, Lumley adds in little creatures on most pages for the youngest readers to spot, and these often steal the scene.
