Stars and Their Legends, 1973, Series 733

Stars and Their Legends, 1973, Series 733.  This book was the only book published in series 733.  Probably other titles were planned for the series but the time that the book was published was time of big transition at the company.  It was sold in 1972 and a number of different hands were suddenly steering the ship.  This book, however, looks and feels ‘old-school’ and was illustrated by golden-age artist Robert Ayton, who later illustrated more books about myths and legends for the company, including the Aesops Fables books.  It was written byRoy Worvill.

This copy is in good condition exterally and VG inside.  As the photos show, there are numerous light scuffs to the spine and cover edges and there’s also a number written on the title page.  Othewise the pages are in very good, clean condition.  It dates from the early 1970s and has an original price of 18p on the back.
