A Second Book of British Birds and their Nests (matt)

The second of the original ‘British Birds and their Nests’ books of series 536.  It is written by Brian Vesey-Fitzgerald and illustrated by Allen Seaby.  Seaby was an accomplished artist with a long career as artist and lecturer by the time he illustrated this book. and he died before it was published.  This book was originally issued with a dustwrapper.

This matt copy is in very good. Unusually in this case, the matt version is slightly harder to find than a DJ copy because it stayed in print only for a short time after 1965. Some wear to the boards and nice, clean pages but for a name to the front endpapers.  This book dates to the 1960s and has the original price of 2/6 printed inside.
