Birds and How they Live, 1966, Series 651.
This is the 3rd book in the Natural History series, 651. Birds and How they Live was written by Newing and Bowood and illustrated by Ronald Lampitt. This book is an attractive balance between picture-book and Natural History textbook. The scope of the book is, of course, very wide so the book covers the topic with a broad brush.
This copy:
Matt boards. In good condition inside and out. The boards are rather worn and there’s a light ring mark to the cover and other minor blemishes. Inside an owner has left her inscription top of endpapers and there’s a small ink mark bottom left corner of one text page but otherwise the pages are in very good shape. It dates to the 1960 and has an original price of 2/6 printed inside. With a tally number of 150, I believe it to be a first edition.
