Collection of graded ‘Read it Yourself’ books

Eighteen books from the 1970s/80s Read it Yourself books – which were designed to supplement the Key Words reading scheme books (Peter and Jane) books.   They were designed to be “an enjoyable and uncomplicated scheme that will give your child reading confidence”.  This isn’t a complete set – but will be a nice collection to encourage a child t work their way through from the beginning and gain confidence in reading.

These books were designed as extra practice – for a child who wanted to keep reading at their appropriate level as they worked their way through the reading scheme – but based on classic stories and tales.

In this bundle there are 2 books from the first level (which a parent reads to the child) and four books each from the 2nd to 5th (top level).

They mainly have matt boards but a few have glossy covers (the first series was only ever published with glossy boards) and are in pretty good, serviceable condition with the odd minor fault (soft spine, name to endpapers, creased pages) but nothing major.
