Great Civilisations Rome, 1976, Series 561 (lam)

Great Civilisations Rome was was written by Clarence Greig and illustrated by Jorge Nunez.  This book was  originally issued with a more traditional cover style but is more commonly found in this style.    Inside the book still has the traditional format of text on the left and illustration on the right.

There were 6 different titles in the Great Civilisations books, and I’m sure most of them were the basis of many a school project in the 70s and 80s.

This copy:

Glossy boards with the later blue-framed cover style.  This book is in VG condition inside and out: minor faults include some small dots of red to the back cover and a print fault whereby the binding process has used too much glue.  The glue has slightly discoloured the front endpapers and the free endpaper easily attaches itself to them (see photos)
