The Story of Flight was first published in 1960 and was the first title in the long-running Achievements series, 601. It was illustrated by the brilliant visual-storyteller Robert Ayton and was written by Richard Bowood. This book was revised in the 1970s to update it – but this is the original version. It was first published with a dustwrapper.
This copy still has its original dustwrapper (not price-clipped). It’s a little rubbed at the spine and slightly chipped at the edges but the main problem, as can be seen in the photo, is a long, light red mark on the front. The book itself is in VG condition with just a name to the title page and (blue, open-wing) endpapers. There are no titles at all mentioned on the back DJ flap. I believe it to be a first edition.
