Great Civilisations The Mycenaeans, 1978, Series 561

Great Civilisations The Mycenaeans was one of the last books in the long-running Ladybird history series.  It was written by Clarence Greig and illustrated by David Palmer.

There were 6 different titles in the Great Civilisations books, and I’m sure most of them were the basis of many a school project in the 70s and 80s.  Dating from after the sale of the company in the early 1970s, the look and layout of the book are different – mainly because text and illustration are not kept separate.  This book was only ever issued with this style of cover.

This book has matt boards.  It’s in very good condition – wear to spine edges but nice, clean, tight pages.  A good copy of a hard-to–find book.
