Learnabout Riding, 1973,  Series 634.

This book was first published as ‘Learning to Ride’ and was published in series 633.  Some years later it was one of the titles to be re-allocated to the Learnabout series (seried 634) – although nothing about the book changed except the name and the cover design. It was written by Margaret Hickman and was illustrated by John Berry.  As a child, I really wanted a horse.  Of course I did.  We didn’t have much money and lived in a big town and it was never going to happen.  This book , and riding lessons (thank you, parents) was as close as I got.

This matt copy is in very good condition inside and out with very good, clean pages but for a neat name top of title page.  It dates to the 1970s and has the original price of 30p on the back.
