Mick the Disobedient Puppy, 1952

Mick the Disobedient Puppy   is the eighth in the ‘Animal Stories’ series, 497.   As with the other books in this series, it was written by Noel Barr and illustrated by Percy Hickling.

This is a storybook intended to be read to young children.  Most of the stories deal with ‘naughty’ animals and the lessons they learn by the end of the book.  ‘Mick’ is no exception – although perhaps here the family learn just as much in terms of understanding the importance of a good fire-guard and stone hearth.  The earliest copies of this book were originally published with a dustwrapper.

This  is a matt copy in very good condition inside and and out.  Only light wear to the boards and the pages nice and clean. This copy dates from the 1970s and has the original price of 15p on the back.
