Nelson, 1965, Series 561 (matt)

Nelson was the 4th title in the 561 series, colourfully written by L du Garde Peach and illustrated by John Kenney.

In this lively telling of the life of the Nelson, Peach dwells on battles and victories.  The complex personal life and gossip that fascinated contemporary comentators is not mentioned at all.  Neither wife nor mistress feature in the story at all.

Matt boards. This copy is in excellent condition inside and out but for a couple of superficial scuffs to the spine (see photos).  Otherwise an excellent copy with not much wear and clean, tight pages. It dates to the 1970s and has the original price of 15p on the back.
