Peter and Jane 10a 1960s Adventure on the Island

There were 36 book in total in the Key Words reading scheme – the Peter and Jane books.  Each of 12 levels was divided into three: a, b and c.  The ‘a’ books introduced new vocabularly which was reinforced in the ‘b’ books while the ‘c’ books tended to focus on writing, spelling and phonics.  Book 10b Adventure at the Castle was first published in 1967 but then revised and re-illustrated in the 1970s.  It was written by William Murray and illustrated by Harry Wingfield.

This matt copy is the original 1960s version.  It is in excellent condition – very little wear and clean, tight pages (neat name to front endpapers). The book has the original price of 2/6 printed inside.
