The Fireman, Series 606b matt

The Fireman 1962 was the 1st book to be issued in series 606b.  It was written by Vera Southgate and J Havenhand and, like all the books in this series, was beautifully, lovingly illustrated by John Berry.   This book is one of my earliest Ladybird memories; I loved all the exciting scenes of red fire-engines, dramatic rescues and the wondeful fireman’s pole scene.

This matt copy is in good condition, inside and out – a neat name to the front endpapers and a few spots and small blemishes. It dates to the late 1960s  and has an original price of 2/6 printed inside
