The Ladybird Book of Trees, 1963 (lam)

The Ladybird Book of Trees, 1963,  Series 536.

This was the 13th book in the Nature series, 536, and was originally issued with a dustwrapper.  It was written by Brian Vesey-Fitzgerald and was beautifully illustrated by S R Badmin.  It’s the only book that Badmin illustrated for Ladybird, which is a real pity.

This copy has matt boards but has been home laminated for use in a school library.  There is a school stamp on the title page and the stamp is faintly to be seen on the back cover too.  The book is a little worn at the corners but generally in very good condition – although the pages are quite well turned.  It dates to the 1970s and has the original price of 40p on the back.
