The Story of Ships, 1961 (DJ)

The Story of Ships, 1961 was the 4th title in the long-running Achievements series, 601.  It was illustrated by the brilliant visual-storyteller Robert Ayton and was written by Richard Bowood.  The colours in this book just sparkle.  This book was originally published with a dustwrapper.

This copy still has its original dustwrapper, price-clipped.  There is an area of discoloration to the front and back panels (see photo) and inside there are a couple of ownership inscriptions on the front free endpapers.  The reading pages are in good, clean condtion.   This is the last title listed on the DJ back flap and I believe it to be a first edition.
