Great Civilisations Rome, 1976, Series 561 (original cover)

Great Civilisations Rome was was written by Clarence Greig and illustrated by Jorge Nunez.  This book was  originally issued with a more traditional cover style but is more commonly found in the later blue-framed cover style. Either way, inside the book still has the traditional format of text on the left and illustration on the right.

There were 6 different titles in the Great Civilisations books, and I’m sure most of them were the basis of many a school project in the 70s and 80s.

This copy:

Matt boards – with the original style.  This copy, of a hard-to-find book is in very good condition inside and out – not much wear and nice, clean pages.  With a tally number of 350, I believe this to be a first edition.
