Shepherd Boy of Bethlehem, Series 522

The Shepherd Boy of Bethlehem was the 2nd book to be issued in series 522.  (Other bible stories are to be found in an later Ladybird series: 606a.)

It was written by Lucy Diamon, illustrated by Kenneth Inns and was originally issued with a dust jacket.   It’s a pity that Inns didn’t illustrate many books for Ladybird; he had a lovely touch and sense of colour.

This matt copy is in excellent condition inside and out with very little wear and nice, clean pages – although there’s a rather charming book place in the front, dated to 197s.  It dates to the 1970s and has an original price of 15p on the back.
