A First Picture Dictionary,1965

The Peter and Jane Key Words reading scheme was so successful that very soon a number of support materials were also published.  The two ‘Picture Dictionary’ books were part of these.  This one was written by JimMcNally and illustrated by Robert Ayton.  This book brings back memories of early school days and the struggle to learn to write neatly and spell correctly (two things I still struggle with!).  The many little Robert Ayton illustrative vignettes add life and colour to the dullest of reference books.

This matt copy is in only good/VG condition.  Shelf wear and a scuff top edge of back cover, other signs of age and wear externally but VG clean pages inside.  The book dates to the 1970s and has the original price of 15p on the back
