A Third Book of British Birds and Their Nests, 1956.  Series 536.

This is the third book in the Nature series, 536 and the first book to be illustrated by Roland Green.   Allen Seaby died very shortly after completing the first two bird books and Green, in addition to this book, also illustrated ‘Wild Animals’.

This copy still has its original dustwrapper, which has not been price-clipped.  Both book and DJ have one major fault which is that a previous owner named Julia has written her name upside-down in large letters on the back DJ panel and again on the front endpapers. This is a pity because in other respects this is a very nice copy with little wear. The book itself is otherwise in nice, clean condition and has grey-brown, open-wing endpapers and pages which are still fairly tight.  It has titles listing down to ‘British Wild Animals’ on the back DJ flap.
