A Third Book of British Birds and Their Nests, 1956.  Series 536.

This is the third book in the Nature series, 536 and the first book to be illustrated by Roland Green.   Allen Seaby died very shortly after completing the first two bird books and Green, in addition to this book, also illustrated ‘Wild Animals’.

This copy still has its original dustwrapper, square price-clipped.  Both book and DJ are in very good condition for their age – this is quite an early copy, hence the white title and catalogue in the back which lists books down to ‘The Farm’ (so circa 1958).  It has brown, open-wing endpapers and titles listing down to ‘British Wild Animals’ on the back DJ flap.  The DJ is a little chipped and worn at the edges, there’s a crease in the back cover and the pages are a little rumpled in places but generally a nice, clean, early edition.
