Alexander the Great, 1963, Series 561 (DJ) (scruffy)

Alexander the Great was the 17th title in the 561 series, colourfully written by L du Garde Peach and illustrated by John Kenney.

This book was one of the last ever to be originally issued with a dustwrapper.

This copy still has its original, unprice-clipped, DJ but there is light foxing to the front panel, further foxing and discoloration to the back panel and a smattering of minor blemishes and spots to the pages.  The edges of the dustwrapper are well worn and pages well turned.  Still a good condition copy all in all and, with the last title listed on the back DJ flap, I believe this to be a first edition.
