Ballet, 1969, Series 662

£4.00

Ballet was the 3rd book to be issued in series 662.  It was written by Ian Woodward. It is beautifully illustrated by Martin Aitchison.  If as a child you badly wanted ballet lessons, like me,  this book was as close as you could get and I used the endpapers to try to teach myself the 5 basic ballet positions.  If you were lucky enough to have ballet lessons, I expect you were inspired by the Degas-like illustrations of back stage excitement and the dramatic scenes from Swan Lake.

This matt copy is in nearly very good condition, inside and out.  Some wear and and a few minor marks to the covers, a name and a few marks to the endpapers.  Nice, clean reading pages.  It dates to the 1970s and has an original price of 18p on the back.
