This is the 3rd book in the Natural History series, 651. Birds and How they Live was written by Newing and Bowood and illustrated by Ronald Lampitt.   This book is an attractive balance between picture-book and Natural History textbook.  The scope of the book is, of course, very wide so the book covers the topic with a broad brush.

Matt boards.    It’s in very good condition inside and out.  The grey-colour boards may be a little soiled and there’s a neat name on the endpapers but the reading pages are in very nice clean condition.   It dates to the mid-1970s and has an original price of 24p  on the back.
