British Wild Flowers, 1957 edition.  Series 536.

The illustrations of the beautiful book are a collaboration between a  husband and wife team.  The great watercolour artist Rowland Hilder painted the background while Edith Hilder produced the exquisite foreground botanical studies.  The two also collaborated with equal success on the Shell Guide posters of the same decade.

Matt boards in VG condition inside and out but for a couple of grubby marks to covers front and back (see photo).  Nice, clean pages.  This copy dates from the 1970s and has the original revised price of 15p printed inside
