British Wild Flowers, 1957 edition.  Series 536.

The illustrations of the beautiful book are a collaboration between a  husband and wife team.  The great watercolour artist Rowland Hilder painted the background while Edith Hilder produced the exquisite foreground botanical studies.  The two also collaborated with equal success on the Shell Guide posters of the same decade.

This copy still has its original dustwrapper which is not price-clipped.  The dj is in very good condition – a little wear and closed tears head of spine panel. Inside, the book itself is in very good condition.  Neat name to title pages and a very slight ripple to pages but generally very nice, clean condition.
