This is the 5th book in the Natural History series, 651. Insects and Small Animals was written by Romola Showell and illustrated by Ronald Lampitt.   Although the illustrations have Lampitt’s refreshing clarity, this book lacks something of the charm of earlier books in this series and doesn’t make the best use of Lampitt’s talents.
