Musical Instruments, 1966, Series 662

The Ladybird Book of Musical Instruments was first published in 1966 and was the 1st title in  series, 662  – music and performance.  It was illustrated by the brilliant visual-storyteller Robert Ayton and was written by Ann Rees.  On most pages, a different musical instrument’s working and history are described.  This book is not to be confused with the more general ‘Story of Music’, which was the next book in the series to be published.

This matt copy is in very good condition inside and out, with only light wear to the boards and nice, clean pages.   It dates to the 1970s and has the original price of 24p on the back.
