Robin Hood and the Silver Arrow, 1978 Series 740

Ladybird’s first telling of the Robin Hood series came with the two books in series 549 – one of which was called ‘The Silver Arrow’.

In the 1970s Ladybird produced more Robin Hood tales – covering the old ground but adding new stories and putting them in series 740 (children’s classics).  The format and illustration style here are very much of the 1970s.  It was written by Desmond Dunkerley and illustrated by Bernard Brett.

This matt copy is in very good condition. Light wear to the covers and good, clean pages.  It dates from the 1970s, and has the original price of 50p on the back.
