The Farmer 1963 was the 5th book to be issued in series 606b and was originally issued with a dustwrapper. It was written by I & J Havenhand and, like all the books in this series, was beautifully, lovingly illustrated by John Berry. This is a beautiful book with lots of lovely illustrations that show Britain at the early stages of the mechanisation of the farming industry.
This copy still has its original dustwrapper (now protected in a clear, removable dustwrapper sleeve – which accounts for the shine in the picture). The dustwrapper is not price-clipped and is in good condition. Heavy wear, chips, minor loss to all edges. Inside the book is also in good condition – name and address to free endpaper. I believe it to be a first edition.
