The Farmer, Series 606b (with DJ)

The Farmer 1963 was the 5th book to be issued in series 606b and was originally issued with a dustwrapper.  It was written by I & J Havenhand and, like all the books in this series, was beautifully, lovingly illustrated by John Berry.  This is a beautiful book with lots of lovely illustrations that show Britain at the early stages of the mechanisation of the farming industry.

This copy still has its original dustwrapper.  The dustwrapper is price-clipped and is generally in good condition.  Some wear, chips and closed tears to edges – including a 2cm closed tear to the back panel.  Inside there’s a neat name to the front free endpaper but otherwise the pages, though well-turned, are in decent condition.  I believe it to be a first edition.
