Naaman and the Little Maid, Series 522 (DJ)

Naaman and the Little Maid was the 10th book to be issued in series 522.  (Other bible stories are to be found in an later Ladybird series: 606a.)

It was written by Lucy Diamon, illustrated by Kenneth Inns and was originally issued with a dust jacket.   It’s a pity that Inns didn’t illustrate many books for Ladybird; he had a lovely touch and sense of colour.

This copy still has its original dustwrapper, not price-clipped,  which is in good condition although a little chipped and creased in places and there is fading to the spine. There’s also a stain on the dj (see photo) although this is hidden by the book.  Inside it is in very nice condition, with blue open-winged ladybird endpapers and I believe it to be a first edition.
