The Ladybird Book of British Wild Animals.  Series 536.

This book is written by George Cansdale and illustrated by Roland Green.  This is the last of the two books that Green illustrated for Ladybird (the first being ‘Third Book of British Birds and their Nests’).

This matt copy is in very good condition inside and out but for a large child’s name inscription to the front endpapers (see photo).  A few minor bumps but otherwise in VG condition with  nice, clean pages.  This book dates to the 1970s  but the price on the back has been cancelled out.
