The Wise Robin, 1950

The Wise Robin is the third in the ‘Animal Stories’ series, 497.   As with the other books in this series, it was written by Noel Barr and illustrated by Percy Hickling.

This is a storybook intended to be read to young children.  Most of the stories deal with ‘naughty’ animals and the lessons they learn by the end of the book.  This story is a little different as The Robin is actually praised for his quick thinking and resourcefulness.  So it’s a very positive little story and perfect for Christmas.  The earliest copies of this book were originally published with a dustwrapper.

A matt copy in very good condition with some wear to the edges but very nice, clean pages.  This copy dates to the 1970s and has the original price of 18p on the back.
