Things to Make 1963, Series 633

£4.00

Things to Make, 1963,  Series 633.

This is the first book in the Hobbies series, 633 and the only one ever to be originally issued with a dustwrapper. It was written by Mia Richey and was beautifully illustrated by the mysterious G Robinson.

I have many many memories of this book – I think I made, or tried to make, or thought about making, just about everything in it.  It taught me a big and important life lesson – things you see in books often don’t turn out the same way in real life.  Maybe your Shoe house or eggshell-mobile had the charm of the ones in the pictures.  Mine never did.  But I still love this book.

This copy:

Matt boards.  It’s in  good condition inside and out with some wear to spine and boards and nice, clean pages.   It dates to the 1960s and has the original price of 2/6 printed inside.
