Two Stories Jesus Told, Series 522 (Missing DJ)

Two Stories Jesus Told was the 6th book to be issued in series 522.  (Other bible stories are to be found in an later Ladybird series: 606a.)

It was written by Lucy Diamon, illustrated by Kenneth Inns and was originally issued with a dust jacket.   It’s a pity that Inns didn’t illustrate many books for Ladybird; he had a lovely touch and sense of colour.

This is a nice, early copy which has lost its original dustwrapper.  Someone has photographed a DJ and put it on the book so that it will look good on the shelves and continue to protect the book – but do note that it isn’t original.  The book is in lovely condition except for some discoloration especially top of cover where the DJ must have slipped, exposing the edge of the book to a different environment.  Otherwise it’s in great condition with bright illustrations and clean, tight page.
