Peter and Jane 2b 1960s

There were 36 book in total in the Key Words reading scheme – the Peter and Jane books.  Each of 12 levels was divided into three: a, b and c.  The ‘a’ books introduced new vocabularly which was reinforced in the ‘b’ books while the ‘c’ books tended to focus on writing, spelling and phonics.  Book 2b  Have a Go was first published in 1964.  It was written by William Murray and illustrated by Martin Aitchison.

This matt copy of 2b  is the original 1960s version.  There is some edge wear and signs of use, the odd small blemish but I think I’d still call in VG condition inside and out. The book dates to the 1970s and has an original price of 15p on the back.
