Exploring Space, 1964, Series 601 (DJ)

Exploring Space was first published in 1964 and was the 9th title in the long-running Achievements series, 601.  It was illustrated by the brilliant visual-storyteller Robert Ayton and was written by Roy Worvill.  This book was first published with a dustwrapper.  Because this book was published just before the first moon landing, it was revised shortly afterwards to amend in the light of new understanding, new facts and  new confidence.  This is the original pre-moon landing version.

This  copy still has its original DJ, which is price-clipped and in quite worn condition (see photos).  The book itself is in very good condition with nice clean pages.
