How it Works The Locomotive, 1968 was the 5th title in the How-it-Works series, 654.  It was written by the mysterious David Carey and illustrated with typical precision by B H Robinson.

Matt boards. This copy is in only fair to good condition externally with wear to the edges and spine and some discoloration mainly to the edges of the cover (see photos).  Inside there’s a little foxing to the preliminary pages and slight rippling but is generally in good condition.   This copy dates from the 1970s and has the original price of 15p on the back.
