Some Great Men and Women, 1972 (Key Words)

The Peter and Jane Key Words reading scheme was so successful that very soon a number of support materials were also published.  Some Great Men and Women was the 6th book in this set of support books.  It was written by William Murray and illustrated by Frank Humphris.  You may not be surprised that it is mainly about Great Men, but Elizabeth I, Florence Nightingale, Elizabeth Fry, Madame Curie and, interestingly, Helen Keller make the cut.

This matt copy is  in excellent, nearly-new condition inside and out with clean, tight pages pages – faint ring mark on back cover.  The book has the original price of 24p on the back so it dates to the 1970s
