Steam Locomotives of the World, 1979, Series 601

Steam Locomotives of the World, 1962 was one of the last titles in the long-running Achievements series, 601.  It was illustrated with photos and written by Colin Garratt.  It’s a matter of choice for a collector whether or not to include this book in a collection of books from series 601, given its late date and the fact that it does not have the lovely illustrations of earlier books.  But I include a copy in my collection.  Although it was originally issued with matt boards, it is more commonly found with glossy.
